    Beautiful marriage of oak, vanilla, slight sherry and maritime influences. One touch smoother and gentler than its famous neighbor, Springbank, and just as complex. A faint peat note way in the background. Exquisite.

    Compared to the 10 year, adds an additional layer of cask influence (oak for sure) and overall complexity. Retains the strong, medicinal peatiness that you would expect from Laphroaig. A beast.

    Sweet, saccharine, boozy caramel. A lot going on, but not a perfect marriage by any means. Needs more aging. 40% ABV, not 43%.

    Briny. Salty, with fruit coming forward w/ water. A trace of peat. Many layers to unwrap. Brilliantly challenging.

    A gentle intro to smokey scotch. Light peat, milk chocolate, warm tobacco. Perfect next to a fire on a cold night.
