Tastes

Nose: vanilla and spice. Slight breadiness. Very slight banana. Taste: very sweet with oak and spice. Artificial sweetener finish.

Nose: very similar to four roses small batch. Just a tiny bit sharper cherry note. Taste: VERY different from the small batch. The small batch is smoother and rounded the single barrel has a much sharper cinnamon and cherry bite that hits and holds on for a very long finish. Cinnamon, cherry vanilla. More tannin on the back end as well. None of the artificial sweetener taste that small batch can have. 2nd,3rd, 8th sip in its almost the same every time. Very consistent.

"Nose: honey, dark fruit, peat Taste: peat is up front but then its sweet and fruity. Comparing to Johnny Walker black this has a stronger peat aroma but lighter peat taste. This is also sweeter and has a brighter fruit taste than JW Black. "

Nose: wet earth and acetone sweetness. Taste: creamy, some spice but not too much. Smooth and doesn’t bite back. Thankfully I don’t get the pickle flavors but rather dark chocolate and slight hint of mint. What keeps messing with my head is the nail polish remover fumes up my sinus.

Nose: Light floral and fruity. A little fermentation funk almost like grapes fermenting. Taste: a little heat on the tip of the tongue. Sweet pear and apple. Alcohol warm finish

Nose: a little bit of dusty corn and definitely some peanut. A little sweetness. Taste: buttery sweetness and creamy mouth feel, a tad bit of cinnamon spiciness up front. Finishes with a little alcohol warmth in the throat and peanut taste lingers on your tongue. Expert reviewer says “not a daily drinker”. Well if you’re a lover of corn whiskey and peanut butter like me then beg to differ. Pair it with a pack of Twinkies and you have a fantastic dessert.

Nose: definitely get notes of wine through the typical bourbon smell. Taste: sweet, oak and cherry. Long finish that leaves you feeling like you just ate a chocolate covered cherry. Very different from other bourbons.

Nose: acetone sweetness, corn, dark fruit. Taste: strong dusty corn flavor and fumes up the sinus. A little bit of cinnamon spice. Oak tannin dryness. Brown sugar or molasses finish. Subsequent tastes you only taste oak. The sweetness has almost disappeared. So followup sips are less satisfying.
