The smell is essentially like getting punched in the face with smoke, beef and liquor. The three elements to any good night. It actually started off sweeter than I thought it would before settling into that seawater peatiness that the islays are known for

A lot of apple and cinnamon on the nose with a very smooth finish that ends with a bit of oakiness. A few drops of water really opens it up

The nose is like enjoying a cherry-orange popsicle by a bonfire. Beautiful sweet notes with a punch of smoke behind it. The taste starts with those lovely sweet notes that finishes into a pure Islay scotch experience thanks to the peat

Originally loved it when at the distillery, but the flavor profile seemed to change when I got home. The caramel apple notes I got at the distillery seemed to be replaced with strictly wood and corn notes.
