Tastes

Nose is sweet cherry pie and cinnamon. The palate is an alcoholic version of the same, rich and earthy in the mouth and slightly spicy. Nice warm chest at the end.

Big beefy BBQ nose. Spicy pallet, rich and oily. Spiciness lingers on your tongue. Slight taste of coffee on the finish. Follow with a sip of water. Superior. Currently, my favorite.

Great nose, fruity with a hint of smoke It coats your lips and tongue, smooth, woody, and slightly fruity but not sweet. A very individual flavor. Warms your chest nicely.

Sweet and spicy nose. Spicy, rich caramel. Slight menthol if you hold it on your tongue. Peppery finish with nice heat. With a 10 year age statement, this is a bargain at $35. Two years on and a couple awards, it's up to $40.

Sweet cinnamon nose. The first taste is that same cinnamon spice followed by a distinct yeasty mash like what you get in a distillery. Finishes with distinctive heat in your chest. This is a nice sipper and a good value at $50.

Good for mixed drinks.

Fresh apples and spicy candle nose. Lingering pepper and spice in your mouth. Light yeasty finish. An easy drink.

The high alcohol content is at the front of the nose but there is a trace of sweet prunes. Take your time with this whiskey. It's very spicy and grabs the tip of your tongue, but the sweetness I find in Taylor is there. Not a flavorful finish but the heat does grab you in the chest after a pause. Very nice.

Not a great nose, slightly vinegary alcohol. Better taste. Notes of spice, heat, toasty oak. This is not a sweet bourbon. The finish is not bad, but a little disappointing.

Sugary oak nose, high alcohol. Tastes of sweet cinnamon spice candies, somewhat oily. There is a lot to like about this whiskey.
