Bit of wood bit if pepper. Pleasant for a dark evening.

This was better than i expected. I picked it because I saw the ‘Irish whiskey’ but upon pouring i noticed it was a oeated and smoked whiskey (rare for irish and not generally what I’d look for there). The smoke is strong enough to cover any peat, which I generally don’t favour. It still has some of the caramel I would expect from an Irish, so is not judt a Scotch made in Ireland.

Peppery, some toffee. Delicious

Nice, smooth but with a richness. Was surprised to see they use maize as I didnt get that typical bourbon flavour (a good thing)

Not sure if this batch. But pleasant anyway.

Raisins, perhaps even cognac on the nose, develops into nice honey and spices on sipping. Reminds me of Redbreast. Probably the best American I’ve sver had (admittedly i haven’t many). None of the Bourbon elements, if you are looking for something different.
