Tastes

Nose apples and spice. It has a bitterness on the palate like some sort of tart fruit...can't pinpoint it. Long finish. A drop of water mellows it.

Nose is toffee and cherry. Long finish is like a slightly spicy cherry pie. A drop of water seems to have no effect on flavor profile.

Nose is spicy with a very slight floral undertone. Tastes spicy almost like licorice or caraway. A drop of water mellows the burn. A very tasty rye.

Nose is okay and vanilla. Tastes like cherry and chocolate. Long finish with a warming hug. A drop of water brings out peppery notes.

Nose vanilla and maple syrup. Tastes as good as it smells, but oh wow that's a lot of alcohol! Leaves a not unpleasant afterglow. A drop of water does not seem to mellow the burn.

Nose vanilla and caramel. Warm and toasty finish. Very tasty

Nose oily/smoky a little peaty. Taste is very peaty also. Not my favorite flavor profile, but it is a smooth sip.

Nose vanilla and sugar. It's sweet on the palate, especially for a rye. Agree with the professional taster that found a slight chocolate flavor. No alcohol burn, ever so slight hint of pepper. A drop of water makes the vanilla deliciousness even more prominent, along with a slight fruitiness. An easy drinking rye for sure.

Nose is peaty as it is on the palate. I'm not a scotch drinker so it's not my jam. But my husband seems to enjoy it greatly.

Nose vanilla and pie spice. Slight leather on the palate. Medium finish with no lingering burn.
