Tastes

Nose is sweet, vanilla, caramel, oak. Taste is a burst of sweet vanilla, baking chocolate, then turns into a long simmering burn, citrus, leather, pepper. My bottle was for 108.3 proof. Bourbon cube calms it down a bit. Nicely done bourbon!

Starts sweet, vanilla, caramel. Some oak and earth. Middle turns leathery, almost scotch like. Backend on the tongue burns a touch with some nice spice. Nothing to harsh. Very nice easy going bourbon.

Aroma is sweet, caramel with woody oak. Smells like the regular TX , taste is somewhat similar but on steroids. Has the sweet vanilla hits, caramel but with a barrel proof of 127.4 it gets your attention very quick. But it’s still very very drinkable. Faired better with a bourbon cube added to it. I do like it much better than their first run TX Bourbon I had a few years ago. Well done.

Straight room temp, very sweet, vanilla, oak notes, not extremely hot for a 104 proof. One cube, spices it up a bit, mutes the sweetness but not totally gone. Usually not a 4 Rose fan, but I gotta admit, I like this one.

I’m just not getting this one. Just nothing that stands out. Like a well bottle.

Caramel, oaks, a touch of ash. Very nice on ice

2 fingers on an ice ball. Has nice flavor, pretty hot like a pepper or cinnamon type burn. Can taste the vanilla and caramel. Some wood flavor is in the mix. Bottom line, it’s very drinkable.
