Tastes

Very light and airy. Get a small hint of vanilla on the aftertaste. Will definitely keep this one in the rotation for it is surprisingly smooth and a good sipper.

Get apple and cinnamon on the nose, think apple pie. Cinnamon and spice on first taste. You get a hint of smoke at the very end. Very good, if I can continue to find will keep on hand.

Very light smell of vanilla and spice on the nose. You get a slight taste of cognac on first sip with a surprisingly fresh aftertaste of orange peel on the finish. Don’t love the price tag on this one but would entertain tasting again

Supposedly a step up from the reserve, although very good, I would place Weller reserve over this one. I felt this one was a bit more oily with a stronger bite.

Get a fruity smell off the nose, must be from the wine barrels this is cask in. Get a caramel taste on the tongue but the after taste left is less than to be desired. First RYE I have had in a while, so maybe it might take my taste buds a bit more time to get used to.

I drank on the rocks and got a fruit smell on the nose, but is a tad rough on taste with the alcohol over powering on this one. I do feel other reviews are a bit harsh and would rate this one in the middle of the pack.

Just finished Eagle Rare so hard to follow that.

Good sipper. I do generally like a bit more bite to my whiskey’s, but this was a nice smooth one that I will definitely give another try in the future.
