Virginia Distillery Co. Courage & Conviction Cuvée Cask
American Single Malt — Virginia, USA
Reviewed January 15, 2022Very tasty. Initially a bit boring - standard sweet and light single malt. But changes into more and the finish has lots of fruit and richness. My favorite of the Courage and Conviction casks. -
Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dhà
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 7, 2022 (edited November 4, 2022)Don’t get much peat, but the smoke is there. Cask influence is minimal and the taste reminds me a bit of mezcal. Quite tasty. McCormacks Whisky Grill -
Virginia Distillery Co. Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask
American Single Malt — Virginia, USA
Reviewed November 6, 2021This was fine. A little young/sharp at first. Mostly malt, honey, and some apple. Maybe some dryness in the finish from the sherry cask. Nothing special but a good sign for future releases from this distillery. -
Kilchoman STR Cask Matured (2019 Edition)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed August 11, 2021 (edited September 27, 2021)Smoky with some sherry on the nose. They continue together on the palate. The finish is mostly smoke. I don’t get a lot of what I think of as peat. But this is very tasty.
