El Jolgorio Cuixe Mezcal
Mezcal Joven — Oaxaca, Mexico
Reviewed August 2, 2018 (edited January 10, 2020)Lightly herbal with hints of clay. Very light smoke. I have not had a lot of the better mezcals, but this one is the best I have had so far. Light and delicate.22.0 USD per Pour -
Weller Antique 107 Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 1, 2018 (edited September 20, 2018)I don't get it. I got peanuts and a little wheat on the nose, the palate was bland and astringent with a bitter finish. Water just killed the nutty flavor without really adding anything to the nose or taste.8.0 USD per Shot -
Black Maple Hill Limited Edition Purple Label
Bourbon — Oregon, USA
Reviewed July 26, 2018 (edited October 14, 2020)This batch (they don't even identify which one it is on the bottle) is a huge disappointment compared to a taste I had about three years ago at a bar, and no, that one wasn't the original Kentucky Black Maple Hill. The one I had three years ago was complex, floral, and balanced, like Blanton's only better. This batch is astringent and doesn't show much more than peanuts and oak.80.0 USD per Bottle -
George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2017)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 26, 2018 (edited September 22, 2018)This lived up to the hype. A nose that just goes on forever, perfectly balanced, and somehow a smooth burn at 129 proof. It should be a crime to add water to this beauty. If only it was possible to buy a bottle at retail price.20.0 USD per Shot -
Tequila ArteNOM Selección de 1146 Añejo
Tequila Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
