This really stretches the definition of gin. It's quite sweet with orange and grapefruit heavy on the front, and I have to look for the juniper, which is really light on the back. I get there's a huge variety of gin, and it could certainly be tasty in some summery highballs, but like I said at the top....really stretches the definition of gin.

This used to be my favorite blanco/plata tequila. My first few bottles of this were insanely smooth, smoother even that bottles that cost twice as much. Clean agave flavor, with little to no heat on the backend. My most recent bottle tasted more muddled and was much hotter (bringing back bad memories). Not sure if they changed the recipe or if I got a bottle from a less than stellar batch. I'll likely give them one more try, and if I see a change from earlier bottles, I'll likely have to switch to a different blanco bottle.

Rittenhouse Rye Bottled in Bond
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 3, 2017 (edited December 29, 2017)I didn't believe the hype. Nothing this cheap (especially in the rye category) could be that good. I needed a new rye, and I was both intrigued and reassured by the B-in-B designation. Great, clean, sweet and spicy rye flavor. Little hot on the backend for neat sipping, but is amazing for mixing. I'm always trying new stuff, but between quality and price, this is definitely my new default rye for the homebar.
