Tastes

Nose - Apricot and fruit (slight sulphur), some vanilla. Rye character is noticeable. Very hot on the nose. Flavor - Sweet fruit with a little oak, baking spice (a lot of sweet cinnamon) and some caraway / anise notes in the background. Cinnamon roll with vanilla icing. Finish - Sweet cinnamon roll and some rye spice. Definite heat that hugs you tight. This was good and very unique. Interesting pour.

Nose - sweet mint and flowers. Flavor - doublemint gum, anise and honey. Finish - semi-oily and coats the tongue in Rye spice and some heat. This is a delicious pour.

Nose - citrus, vanilla, slight oakiness, baking spice (cinnamon and brown sugar). Flavor - vanilla, baking spices, red licorice, slight red berry (raspberry). Finish - coats the tongue with spice and some oil. Nice pour.

Nose - vanilla bean, cherry, oak, leather and smoke. Burnt orange Flavor - sweet leather, oak. Some baking spice mid-palate Finish- not overly long, but oily and coating. Some red licorice and pepper. Oak lingers. This was an incredible pour.

Nose is fruity (apple and pear) with honey. Very slight oak and spice notes. Flavor is different - more oakiness with some vanilla and spice notes. Apple on the finish with a touch of lingering warmth.

Clayton Wine House Angel's Share 2021 SB3 Barrel # 7493236 Barrelled 9-19-2016 115 Proof Nose has some honey, baking spices (cinnamon/ cloves), some definite oakiness and some slight rye-type wintergreen. Flavor is sweet honey with soft cinnamon and sugar. Some slight toastiness and oak. Finish is long, somewhat drying and gives a nice hug.

Nose is a Payday candy bar dipped in apple butter and cinnamon. Flavor is honey, banana Runts, dryness and Amaretto. Finish is pie crust, red apple and cinnamon.

Powdered sugar coated wintergreen and caraway seeds on the nose - slight menthol notes. It tastes like Christmas...evergreen and sweetness. Some Rye spice and citrus on the sides of the tongue. Finish is semi-long, coating the mouth with some rye bread and sugar - some lingering heat.

Wheat bread, caramel, some funk on the nose (likely the wheat). Smooth wheat on the palate with honey on the front, some baking spice (mostly cinnamon) mid palate, with some burn. Finish reminds me of red apple with a little black licorice. Lingers.

Sweet and nutty on the nose. Some oak, cinnamon and creaminess as well. Palate follows through 100%. Sweet nuttiness with that cinnamon roll addition. Vanilla and sweet cream on the long finish. This is delicious.
