NULU Reserve Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Kentucky), USA
Reviewed October 16, 2022 (edited February 12, 2023)Missouri Exclusive Batch 100 Proof. Slight oak, honey, boozy fruit cocktail on the nose. Some baking spice. Sweet berries (raspberry / strawberry) up front with some honey. Baking spices mid-palate with a lasting finish of berry and almost a melon (honeydew) lingering. This is a delicious pour. -
George Dickel 9 Year Hand Selected Barrel
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2022Sweet sourdough bread on the nose. Flavor is similar with some caramel, oakiness and vanilla to round it. Not my favorite pour, but better than the first time I had it. -
Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2022 (edited October 16, 2022)Oak on the nose for sure with some slight cinnamon and tobacco / leather notes - slightly floral. Flavor is sweet oak, vanilla and some sweet cinnamon roll on the finish. Long finish that is shockingly spicy for the lower proof. I really enjoy this pour. -
Classic Maker's Mark funk - cherry (non-frosted cherry Pop-Tart) and light oak on the nose (some cinnamon as well). Palate is Maker's turned up...cherry pits, barrel, baking spices. Spicy in the finish with a heat that, as they say on the tour of the distillery, vanishes. Leaves behind a nice buttery vanilla sweetness.

Rabbit Hole Cavehill Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed October 15, 2022 (edited November 10, 2022)Sweet oak on the nose with cinnamon applesauce and light honey. Drying oak on the palate, with some brown sugar, dark fruit (plum), honey and a little red apple skin on the finish. Some heat that lingers on the sides of the tongue. Decent pour - probably losing a little luster with more tasting experience. -
