Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 30, 2021 (edited June 23, 2021)Need to taste it next to regular 101 I think to get some differences. Spice on the nose right away. Normal still like oak and vanilla. Pallet = spice, Turkey, decent bit, vanilla, some nuts and berries. Finish is more spice. More rye. Lots of Turkey. -
Baker's Single Barrel Bourbon 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 8, 2021 (edited January 10, 2021)Burnt Carmel, smell is NOT as bold or spicy as taste and finish. Taste is spicy vanilla, do the KY chew and it’s warm! Hard to find any sweetness. Finish is spicy as well. Hits you all over and a warm KY HUG! -
Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 25, 2020 (edited January 8, 2021)Honey smell. Then like a lemon after that. Something you might want to smell or taste if you have a cold. Spice at the end of the nose. Taste is honey and lemon spice again. It’s more harsh than the last few bourbons I have been drinking. By harsh I mean tougher nose and smell. Not as sweet as I like. -
Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 4, 2020 (edited April 3, 2021)Light nose. Nothing special. Honey and peanut taste. Rye spice comes through on the finish. -
Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 27, 2020 (edited December 4, 2020)Think I need to taste this with Jim Beam, Wild Turkey, and maybe Jack Daniels to try and pull out some tasting notes. Smell to finish pretty balanced. Pretty sweet and smooth. I feel like if I was in an old western movie this would be a bottle I would have with me! -
