Highland Park 15 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed December 24, 2014 (edited August 3, 2015)Cool autumn breeze rolls over the countryside hills painted in green and blue. Scent of bluebells welcomes me with their sweet smiles. Over the naked trees at a distance, a stream of old lazy smoke sways across seemingly endless blue sky and invites me in for a supper. A rustic, humble plate prepared by rough but gentle hands, followed by caramel glazed apple pie. As the night deepens, I sit by the fire and enjoy his food and company in peace and quiet. -
Barterhouse 20 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 15, 2014 (edited December 22, 2014)I'm walking through a dark tunnel, following the scent of sweet orange. When I open my eyes, I find myself standing in the middle of an empty field. There is nothing but dried dirt under my feet for miles, but when I close my eyes, I can smell traces of sweet orange everywhere. I should be disappointed, but for some reason, I'm just content at my heart. -
Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2014 (edited January 11, 2015)A sweet and playful night with a beautiful auburn hair girl in a tiny little black dress. No commitments or plans. But it's just right for this lonely night. -
Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 14, 2014 (edited November 15, 2014)Full bodied and rich flavor overcomes you from the tip of your tongue to the bottom of your soul, not like a wild ocean wave, but the warm spring sun coming up over the horizon and embracing your skin. However it's a bit floral for my taste.
