Nose: wood notes Palate: spice almost like a rye, oak Finish: long lasting, can taste the heat Overall: very distinct from the other bourbons in my flight. Not as sweet but more earthy notes

Nose: tons of banana, banana nut bread Palate: just like I’m drinking a warm slice of banana nut bread Finish: more bready on the finish, tinkling on the roof of my mouth Overall: really impressed with this bottle at this price point. Would definitely buy this again. Very distinctive taste.

Nose: brown sugar, fruity but a bit thin Palate: smooth and sweet, but nothing is jumping out to me Palate: not very long lasting Overall: it’s good, but I’m not sure it’s worth the $100 that it’s going for on the secondary market. I’d still pick it up for list price plus.

Nose: thin, not picking up a lot initially, very slight hint of banana on the second pass, butterscotch Palate: sweet banana, glazed donut Finish: some heat in the back of my throat (first whiskey of the day) Overall: probably my least favorite OF brown I’ve tasted, but still decent

Nose: grains, pumpernickel bread, sweetness Palate: spice, pumpernickel bread (toasted), viscous and balanced Finish: lasting, warm in the back Overall: like this one but a bit pricey

Nose: butterscotch, cherry vanilla, pumpernickel bread, wheat bread, grains Palate: toast with butter, some heat, buttery spice Finish: smooth for 100 proof, touch of spice Great value rye. Love the Old Forrester line of products.

Nose: vanilla, nutmeg Palate: vanilla, touch of baking spices, bran muffin Finish: smooth, little heat (lower proof)

Nose: butterscotch, sugar, candy apple Palate: red apple, full and oily, subtle caramel and vanilla bean Finish: sweet up front, but spicy at the end Really enjoy this bottle.

Nose: vanilla, smoke Palate: little smokey Finish: slight, low proof comes through
