Redbreast Lustau Edition
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed January 18, 2017 (edited March 1, 2017)Doesn't seem as complex as a typical redbreast - fairly sweet, but the nose ends with a very alcoholic note, almost like it is a high proof. I can taste some of the licorice notes in the finish -
Teeling Single Grain Whiskey
Single Grain — Ireland
Reviewed January 6, 2017 (edited April 16, 2017)When first poured, it has a very distinct grain alcohol smell. Once it opens up though it smooths out. Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed September 16, 2016 (edited April 13, 2019)Great finish, but a really strong nose that overpowers (no pun intended). I compare it to yellow spot, which I shouldn't, but even though it's a smooth whiskey the nose is very alcoholic. Hopefully it with smooth out over the life of the bottle. -
