Tastes

For starters, I don’t have the most developed palate. I’m interested and partial to Barrell as I have tried and like there finished whiskeys. I’m getting citrus fruit with some vanilla on the palate, for me this drink sits more on the bright fruit/sweet side with enough spice to make things interesting. Long subdued finish. Drinks much lower than the proof. There is a depth and complexity here that is expected of a premium product, but nothing that will “wow” you. Solid batch. I agree with the distiller score, 89, although we differ on the notes.

Tootsie roll, sweet cherry wood, spice on the back end, medium oak finish.

Honey and cinnamon graham cracker, also golden graham cereal. Spicy on the back end. My first wheated bourbon and I’m well pleased.

Some of the best I’ve had. Full bodied flavor throughout, great finish.

First time trying something with this much oak inspiration. Good spice, smooth drink, oil and dryness are just enough. I look forward to coming back to this bottle.

Spicy caramel apple all the way! Very good sipper or mixer in between different bottles.

Smooth… subtle sweet with some complexity. A go to for sure.
