Reviewed March 18, 2022 (edited April 14, 2022)Opened 3 weeks ago, 2nd pour neat in glencairn. A: amber, light copper, very good legs N: moderately heavy and complex but still pleasing. Caramel, butter, allspice, orange, vanilla. P: starts a bit peppery, but smooths out quickly with orange, vanilla and some cinnamon, butter, glazed sugar, and caramel. F: low burn with mostly pepper and hints of other palate notes This is a full, tasty and complex SB for a great price. -

Reviewed March 12, 2022 (edited May 3, 2022)Fresh crack, neat in a glencairn. A: light copper hue, great legs N: buttery cinnamon biscuit, maple syrup or honey. Smoke and oak. P: follows the nose but more smoky maple syrup than other notes F: very nice notes linger, light burn for a 120 proof. Overall: pleasant drinker that can hold its own with more highly priced expressions. -

Reviewed March 12, 2022 (edited May 3, 2022)Fresh crack, neat in a glencairn. A: amber or dark straw, not a lot of legs. N: nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, and a little vanilla. P: cinnamon, creme brulee, maple syrup. F: low burn, clean, mostly maple syrup notes. Overall: better flavor and less burn than expected. Well worth the $17 price tag for 750ml. -

A: medium bronze/amber’s & nice legs N: warm with brown sugar, orange, vanilla, & cinnamon P: more warmth, intense cinnamon & vanilla at start then builds nicely with citrus, apricot, and some sweet dill and raisin F: very extended with moderate burn and some oak, cotton, orange, and apricot again.

Neat in a glencairn. Cracked 2 weeks ago, this is a shoulder pour. A: medium amber and good legs. N: vanilla, cinnamon, cherry pie, smoky oak, a little mint/menthol. Overall pleasant. P: wet and slightly oily mouthfeel, pepper, smoke, wanna say mesquite but more oaky, some cinnamon and baked green apples. F: light to moderate burn with cinnamon and smoke.

Reviewed March 9, 2022 (edited July 21, 2022)Cracked 1 week ago, tasting neat in glencairn. N: heavy cinnamon, vanilla, tart cherry, ethanol. P: cinnamon toast, glazed butter, lime rind, sawdust, smoky oak. F: a lot of burn with smoke and oak. Overall: nose and tasting notes are muted by the ethanol and burn. Drinks young and proof seems higher than 100. -

Reviewed March 8, 2022Nose: cotton candy, honey roasted peanuts, fresh linen, slight pepper. Palate: white chocolate covered cherries, peanut butter, grape jelly. Clean extended finish with some cinnamon roll and oatmeal raisin notes. -

Reviewed March 8, 2022 (edited April 6, 2022)Nose: molasses, rock candy, honey dew, marshmallow, cinnamon, coconut. Palate: sweet but a lot of nose characteristics don’t show. Mincemeat seasoning, pepper and cherry pie. Finish: extended finish with cherry and a pleasant burn.
