Highland Park 12 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed May 3, 2015 (edited December 11, 2016)Fantastic. A little of everything. Peat, honey, fruit, wood, sherry, it's all there to enjoy. Subtle & never overbearing. This is a GREAT scotch. The finish could occasionally have a little more happening, but this is a great dram. Round 2: Nose:gentle peat, brine, dried fruit, malty sweetness. Palate is gentle peat, honey, brine, touch of grass, beautiful finish. Absolutely an outstanding go to dram. This will be a staple. -

Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 26, 2015 (edited November 26, 2018)This isn't glenmorangies's best, but it's another easy, affordable beginner Scotch. A bit of honey & light fruit, but not a great deal of personality.
