Tastes

A great mixer because it's lack of age and refinement. As a sipper, not sure how this scores over an 80. The rye's youth is in the forefront as green wood dominates the palette. This is a budget rye and if you buy it expecting more, you'll be disappointes.

This stuff meets the hype. I think most barrel proof whiskeys are overrated. Surely my macho-ness score will take a hit for saying this but most BP whiskeys are too hot to fully enjoy. Not the case here. A delicious cherry cola scent and flavor with a manageable amount of heat and spice to finish. If you see it, buy it.

Really disappointing. The nose essentially ruins the experience with a heavy plastic/nail polish smell. For $100, I'd expect a bottle void of major flaws like this.
