Lark Single Malt Cask Strength
Single Malt — Tasmania, Australia
Reviewed February 1, 2020 (edited April 6, 2022)This really gives your nose a tickle! Strong notes of dried fruit from the port casks comes through. There is a slight note of aniseed - although some disagree. As well as orange peel. On the palate, there is an initial sweetness before the alcohol kicks in. Once this dies off there is a creamy vanilla taste which slowly turns to a 'sticky' almost bitter (but pleasent finish).Lark Distillery -
Lark Single Malt Distiller's Selection
Single Malt — Tasmania, Australia
Reviewed February 1, 2020 (edited April 6, 2022)The 2019 edition has quite a sweet fruity nose. Initially described as "lychee" but I'm getting more tinned apricots or peaches. Port casks are also noticeable on the nose. Taste is quite pleasant. Initially quite smooth but finishes with a bit of a kick. If you are comparing it to other Distillers editions you would say it is over priced but in my opinion it is worthy he price to have some truely unique from one of Tasmania's best distilleries!Lark Distillery
