Aroma: Light. Citrus/Orange/Tangerine. Taste: Very light. Slight watery finish. Would like try again from fresh bottle. Aroma: Big but soft butterscotch, vanilla, honey, toffee, caramel. Minimal alcohol. Very nice. Not amazing but good. Palate: very nice. softness. Finish: subtle smoke? With a few drops of water definitely opened. More fruit forward. Berry?

1st neat then with drops of water. Aroma: subtly sweet & floral. Taste: white tea. Good or just better than good but not excellent. 1st tasting. New bottle. Neat. Aroma: immediately sense this is something different / unique / has some complexity. And a hint of new leather. Palate: the spiciness is not overwhelming. More medium heat than flavor. Palate: Zesty plum skin. With a few drops of water, aroma opened to powdered (confectioner's sugar) apple cider donuts. 2nd tasting. Opened bottle. Neat. Aroma: pear, honeysuckle. Taste: subtly sweet, mild spice. With a few drops of water is lost a lot on nose & palate. Tried over 2 consecutive days. Neat. Day 1 Aroma: Other than the obvious ethanol (50% abv) upon opening new bottle I found it on the lighter side. Citrus (lemon), vanilla, hints of anise. Palate: bitter butterscotch. No sweetness on finish. Day 2 Aroma: more open, warmer, less ethanol. Vanilla, oak, faint butterscotch. Palate: semi-sweet butterscotch right up front that faded quickly. Not bad but not terribly impressive. Not for me. Not the first time trying. Memories of enjoyment. Opened bottle for some time. Neat at first. Aroma: Rye, spearmint, anise. Oak. Palate: the open bottle has lost some of its spiciness. Minor zest of some sort. The rye seems fairly fresh with medium brightness. With few drops of water the anise backs off & the oak comes forward a bit. The whisky that got me interested in whisk(e)y. Incredibly smooth.
