Smokey, rich and peaty. Flavors are nicely balanced. Compared to Ardbeg’s Wee Beastie, the five years makes a big difference in a more rounded balance flavor.

I’m liking this so far. Smokey, peppery, savory. I’m craving something meaty from this one. Next I will open an Ardbeg 10yr and compare it to this one.

Probably one of the best Maker’s Mark I have so far. This one ranks much higher than Maker’s Cask Strength. Has more complex flavors than regular Maker’s. I get toasted grains, dryness, and some tannic notes.

I happy to get this bottle enough to buy a second one. But it is not worth over MSRP, save that for Elijah Craig Barrel Proof. This one gives more variety over the regular small batch like more sweet dessert flavors. I enjoy flavors like vanilla, toasted marshmallow, maybe some creme brûlée. But it will never be a good substitute for Elijah Craig Barrel Proof and would gladly pay extra for that over EC Toasted Barrel.

I looked forward to finding this one today and to me it did not disappoint for its value. It’s spicy, rich and plenty of that Beam signature peanut funk. One of my favorite value BiB whiskey now. It much better than Jim Beam Bonded and much cheaper than Knob Creek Small Batch. I am enjoying the long finish than Evan Williams BiB. I look forward to finding another bottle next time.

Tastes a bit spicy. This is different from what I’m used to with WT101 and EW BiB.

Comes in hot and spicy then sweet. Maybe this might need some time to open up before I could enjoy it.
