Starts nicely with notes of honey and vanilla, heats up quickly then all the flavors follow. Grape/banana/baking spice, apricot, raisin. Flavors fade away to a sharp dry woodyness. This is where the oak lives. Wood lingers in the dry aftertaste for a short time b4 fading into a dry mouth begging for another drink. I got this bottle on clearance for $25 worth way more in my opinion.25.0 USD per Bottle

Coopers' Craft Barrel Reserve 100 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2022Smells of caramel apple, brown sugar, wood. Tastes pecan pie, smoky sweet wood. Caramel apple, cinnamon/pepper. A bit of peanut. Finishes of sweet wood, like a light candied cigar, the wood shines through on this. Just enough proof to keep the flavors lingering for quite awhile. Overall one of the best values I've had. @$35. Super complex, great balance all around. My comp would be somewhere in between Elisha Craig small batch, and George Remus. Worth every penny! -

Spice lingers for a long time with some strong wood showing up late.. M- medium O- this one takes a moment to open up. Starts sweet hot, then pepper hot. Then woody hot. The rye spice definitely takes everything over. I enjoy the aftertaste but the ride itself is a bit mangled. It definitely goes through stages on the way out. Fits the Rye bill. -

Reviewed January 26, 2022 (edited May 11, 2023)A- amber in color. A bit sticky looking. S- sweet woody tobacco. A tinge of ethanol. Spicy banana bread. P- amazing. Onset is sweet wood, cinnamon, honey, earth in the middle. Nice spicy earthy finish. Truly delightful. M- the mouth feel/ consistency is what makes this so incredible. Medium heavy body. Attaches to your mouth and lets the flavors linger. O- I paid $30 for this bottle on sale and would definitely pay much more for it. I'm a small fan of the Beam specialties (DO, DC, BLK.) This is 10 levels above those. Well done.
