Finally cracking this bottle… how exciting. Tried neat of course. On the nares it’s spicy with notes of black pepper, char, oak, grain, wheat, spiced pears, nutmeg. On the palate it’s warm with notes of wood, char, caramel, clove, cinnamon, slight vanilla. I heard bad things about this bottle and I have no idea how or why lol.. this sh*t is delicious. @Looneyhead

Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2022
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 15, 2023 (edited January 17, 2023)So excited to finally open this bottle and… my bday month is coming up so, why not!? Tried neat. To the nares it’s floral and fruity with notes of cocoa, wood, toast, vanilla, caramel, fruit cobbler, orange, cheesecake, crème brûlée, candied apple, sweetarts, pixie dust. On the palate it’s initially dry then toasty with notes of wood oak, pecan, & char. This is a complex and delicious bourbon. I do however, get much more complexity to the nose vs palate. I plan to add a couple drops of water next tasting to open it up and see what new notes I get… exciting times ahead! P.s. Wow.. the legs on this bourbon are sexy. -
Bernheim 7 Year Original Wheat Whiskey
Wheat Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 10, 2023 (edited January 11, 2023)Cracking this bottle. Tried neat. On the nares it’s like a sour fruit with a warm sweetness with notes of vanilla, cream Brulé, caramel, pears, raspberry cobbler. On the palate it’s very smooth with notes of banana bread, toast, pecans. Honestly.. I can’t believe how low the ratings are here for this delicious bourbon….And people say do not expect complexity but I feel that it is rather complex. Sad o didn’t purchase the second bottle that was sitting there for $30 -
1804 Grand Imperial Orange Liqueur
Fruit Liqueurs — France
Reviewed January 9, 2023 (edited January 11, 2023)Because Cointreau is getting pricy to put into our Rita’s so trying something new! Sweet on the lips with heavy orange (obvi) and not as smooth as Cointreau however, I don’t mind it. Time to finish the Rita’s and see how it tastes in them! -
Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 25, 2022 (edited December 26, 2022)Cracking this bottle because I deserve it after a rough 12 hour shift working on Christmas Day. Tried neat. On the nares I get strong oak and slight cinnamon and vanilla. First sip slaps you in the face with heat and spice. The kentucky hug leaves your tongue and cheeks numb and paralyzed like you swished viscous lidocaine in your mouth for 5 mins. And the Kentucky hug…. That is real also! Wow I can’t get much more through this heat. 6 drops of water added to my rather large pour adding notes of maple syrup to the nares and pears, apples, and stronger vanilla. The the palate it surprisingly gets sweeter to the palate, although still hot and spicy, with notes of brown sugar, toast. This hits likes a rye to me. Also… I added one ice cube to see if it uncovered anything else I may be missing and I think it actually negatively affected it. Definitely a rather interesting and complex bourbon that I am already interested to try again soon. -
Tequila San Matias Legado Reposado

Reviewed December 7, 2022A go to for decent and cheap tequila in my Rita’s.. not my favorite tho! -
December 1st advent box. Tried neat with my lovely friend Victor who invited me to be part of this amazing advent calendar! Very floral and fruity on the nares with notes of vanilla, plum, orange. It’s spicy on the palate but smooth with notes of fruit like plums and dates. I don’t get the cappuccino but I wish every cappuccino tasted like this 🤣
