Cracking this bottle because I deserve it after a rough 12 hour shift working on Christmas Day. Tried neat. On the nares I get strong oak and slight cinnamon and vanilla. First sip slaps you in the face with heat and spice. The kentucky hug leaves your tongue and cheeks numb and paralyzed like you swished viscous lidocaine in your mouth for 5 mins. And the Kentucky hug…. That is real also! Wow I can’t get much more through this heat. 6 drops of water added to my rather large pour adding notes of maple syrup to the nares and pears, apples, and stronger vanilla. The the palate it surprisingly gets sweeter to the palate, although still hot and spicy, with notes of brown sugar, toast. This hits likes a rye to me. Also… I added one ice cube to see if it uncovered anything else I may be missing and I think it actually negatively affected it. Definitely a rather interesting and complex bourbon that I am already interested to try again soon.

December 1st advent box. Tried neat with my lovely friend Victor who invited me to be part of this amazing advent calendar! Very floral and fruity on the nares with notes of vanilla, plum, orange. It’s spicy on the palate but smooth with notes of fruit like plums and dates. I don’t get the cappuccino but I wish every cappuccino tasted like this 🤣

Day 6 advent calendar. Tried neat. On the nares it’s floral and earthy with notes of tea, citrus, candied ginger and, Carmel apple. On the palate I get black tea, pepper, licorice, with a spicy finish keeping me warm!

Day 4 of advent box. Tried neat. On the nares it’s rich and fruity with notes of dates, apricot, pear, candied roasted pecans and slight leather. More importantly… I get peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla cream🤤 On the palate I get a huge amount of stone fruits with notes of cinnamon, clove, & brown sugar.

Dec 2nd advent box. Tried neat. On the nares it smells sweet with notes of citrus fruit, pepper, honeydew, green apples, & pencil shavings. On the palate it’s a burst of sweetness and spice with notes of fruit and cinnamon

What a lovely taster I looked forward to all day at work to kick off my vaca! Advent box Dec 3rd. On the nares I get notes of vanilla, caramel, apricot, dates, oak, plums, and honey. On the palate it’s smooth and somewhat sweet initially and then quickly becomes earthy and nutty, then warmer, with a kick of tobacco on the end.

Tried neat at gold fish with @Looneyhead On the nares I get wood.. not much mesquite as I wish I would get. Notes of oak, caramel. Smooth on the palate but honestly I’m disappointed
