Tastes

I detected strong oak notes on both the nose and palate. Sweet, dry and quite enjoyable. Japanese whiskey is very similar to scotch, this is a prime example of this.

Not quite sure what to make of this here. It starts off a bit rough and rye but gives way to that sugary rum barrel finish. A juxtaposition between two different spirits and not necessarily in a good way.

Pretty sweet bourbon and port finish, a little bite but not too bad. Not as much depth as I’d like, but smooth nonetheless.
