I have never smelled anything better honestly. Adding PX aging to the typical ex-bourbon barrels had the best of effect on this quality drink. It is complex with citrus fruits, oranges, lemon zest, black pepper and more spices, which are coming from the pot stills. You can feel exactly the same on the palate too, finishing with a touch of tobacco smoke and more spices. Astonishing stuff.

Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed October 30, 2023Dried fruits, especially dried citrus fruits and orange zest on the nose, supplemented with gentle baking spices. Vanilla, nutty, dried fruits, herbs and spices on the palate, finishing the same, but mostly with vanilla and salted herbs. The herbs and the dried fruits are felt better both on the nose and on the palate with a drop of water - then you can feel the effect of the Amontillado Sherry. -
Nose with an earthy grass, sea breeze and ginger. Light, sweety palate with fresh citrus and coastal air and saltness. Finishing with fresh green spices and ginger. One of the few whiskies in which you can really separate the taste on a few periods - from start to finish. An explosion of flavours. WOW!
