On the nose, strong sweetness, with a slight spicy note at the back. Sweet aroma like Christmas candles, Christmas cake, very sweet orange with sugar and a subtle sherry influence with the sweet range. On the palate, there is an indefinite fresh sweetness - vanilla, flowers, sweet almonds. The finoche is sweet and nutty. THE Christmas dram in my opinion.

On the nose, a strong sensation of caramel candy, but also suggests a very strong character - a spicy, peppery sensation with grassy notes. On the palate, the sweet caramel and vanilla are quickly enveloped by a strong peppery character. A very alcoholic sensation, which I don't associate with whiskey, but rather with a slightly spiced Balkan brandy/rakia. With the addition of water, a lot of vanilla comes out, but again with hot black pepper. It is clear that the distillate is young. The finish is long and warm, sweet baked caramel, fine vanilla.

On the nose, there is sweet malt, strong sherry influence in the sweet range - as a sweetness of raspberries, blueberries, fruit, light vanilla cake and a very light spicy hint of cinnamon?! On the palate, the berries dominate aggressively for a second, but then vanilla and white sugar fondant appear more pronouncedly on the already sugared cake. There is a light hint of salty tobacco as well. The finish is medium to long, led by sweet malt, sugary lemon slices and blueberry dark chocolate.

Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 24, 2025Nice earthy feel with light floral hints and very sweet iodine vanilla. The water removes the smoke, but the earthiness remains, sweet fruits appear - plums and apricots. On the palate, the smoke is very well balanced, because you can feel the sweet fruits and nice dark chocolate with dried sweet fruits. The finish is long, earthy, dark chocolate and earthy potatoes and apricot fruit powder. -
The aroma is complex - chocolate with red fruits, a winey feel of sweet grapes, sweet barley, and many other things in the background. The taste is light, fine chocolate with a very sweet feel of light sweet berries, again sweet barley, a little toffee, and cream. The finish is light, creamy, medium long. A feeling of cashews and fine barley remains.

The aroma is just like the pile of apple and pear peels you left for a few minutes after peeling them. Well, there is a slight creaminess, a slight honeyiness, but it is definitely not your typical sherry. On the palate, the fruit peel is now citrus peel - oranges, tangerines, bitter for sure. There are also quite a few spicy, bitter spices, but the taste is entirely citrus, uncompromisingly dominated by citrus. The finish is lemony, fresh and medium. A very good and fresh whisky, but it definitely lacks complexity and something that says “boom”. I know it is an expensive pleasure for cocktails, but it seemed to me that its citrus flavours could do a great job for some summer cocktails. 82/100

The aroma starts strong, of very sweet, soft apricots with candied fruit, brown sugar and very light pleasant spices. Yes - this is a sweet whisky, a masterclass nose for Glenmorangie. The taste is of milk chocolate, sweet spices, almond and other bitter nuts, blood orange and light honey. The aftertaste is noticeably leathery and of citrus peel. For me, this is a top Glenmorangie whisky, with an excellent price/quality ratio. 87/100 WBR.

Second review in the last 2 years. Caution! Breathe from a distance! Don't be bold right after pouring into the glass. Citrus and spices are pungent, despite the not-so-high ABV of the whiskey. The malt influences the nose, a slight hint of milk chocolate, distant honey and dried/fermented sweet apples. After a while, the aroma develops as it becomes softer and honeyed, more of demerara sugar, subtle apple and pear jam, and less of spices. The taste is of very sweet citrus peel, oven-baked tangerines, sweet malt, and subtle spicy wood spices. The finish is medium to long, warming and fruity sweet. A very good whiskey, typical bourbon Scotia. It seems to lack a bit of the typical Campbelltown coastal salty character to make it unique. 85/100

On the nose, I smell fermented fruit - very sweet orange residue, rose hips, apricots. Dark dried fruit, sloe, and Christmas spices. The taste completely follows the nose - Christmas cake, candied fruit, dried dark fruit. There is a lack of overall complexity in this whisky. There is no development and multi-layeredness of flavours, and this definitely disappointed me. Too sweet. It is simply not my whisky, I have no other explanation. 77/100 WBR.
