Here’s the deal...I wanna like it and it’s slowly growing on me but some things I can’t get past. One of which is the nose. First time I took a sniff I went back in time 35 years to cherry Robitussin cough syrup smell. That isn’t a good thing because I don’t want my bourbon to smell like medicine ... just BE my medicine hahaha! Anyway, very full texture...leathery, orange peel, oily, then the Robitussin again on the back! What I do like is how long it lingers and burns. The finish is nice, full, and good.

Banana heavy with brown sugar nose and palette. Finish is a mouthful, rich, molasses, and oaky. Smell reminds me of a fall morning with the leaves falling.

Nose of fruit, candied apples, butterscotch. Pallet is oak heavy, spices and boozy on a comparable level to higher proof bourbons. Finish is long and peppery, caramel finish.

Cherry pop tarts with vanilla icing. Moderate to long finish of charred oak and vanilla. Yummy

Ripe bananas, vanilla and caramel. Think bananas foster and that’s the nose. Taste much the same...heavy and creamy with spice and wood. Finish is long lingering oak char and pepper. 127.2 was the proof of mine. Bottled feb 8, 2020 Rick L-16 Barrel 20-00969
