Wonderful multifaceted Scotch. Campfire and smoke and undertones of sweet stewed fruit. Briney seashore. Little pepper on the finish and an earthy tone. Just smashing.

Before tonight I would have struggled to give this a 2. It was only tolerable with the suggested addition of soda water. Tonight it was like Scotch elves refilled the bottle with wonderful. Add to that the price and this is truly exceptional. Fruit and malt and honey and sherry on nose and palate and a little pepper and oak on the end.

Better the longer it’s open. Nice nose. Agree with previous review that said more jammy than floral. Cereal and some soft sweet on the palate. Some tannins and a short finish. Very smooth.

Usually a Scotch drinker. Compares favorably. Sweet on the nose. Sugarcane, molasses, some oak. Palate more of the same, more oak, tannins, oily, tea and toffee. Smooth, nice finish. More oak and tannin, touch of spice, a hint of sweet. Good stuff.

The only tolerable way I’ve found to drink this is in an Old Fashioned. I wanted to like this. I love Cider. I’ve heard good things about Tullimore. I enjoy Jameson’s IPA cask. Nothing great but a smooth gentle dram with a nice hint of hops. But this just doesn’t come together.

Exceptional Scotch. Nose:Sweet peat. Gentle smoke. Taste is more of the same, with some added heat. A nice medium long finish. An excellent value and flying a bit under the radar. Up there with Lagavulin 8 or Talisker 10. A couple drops of water takes the edge off the heat but takes nothing away from nose or taste. This will always have a place in my cabinet.

Peat sweet with some nice smoke. Ive had it neat and with water (up to 1:1) and there’s just another facet to explore. peat and smoke on the nose. Sweet and more peat...oily on the palate. Short to medium finish. A little hay with lingering peat. Good stuff.

Peat and smoke and some ripe fruit on the nose. Peat and smoke continue on the palate but neither overwhelming and some nice malty sweetness underneath and a moderate oily mouth feel. Some pepper in there as well. Lovely peaty finish though not long. Just opened tonight so will be interesting to see how it continues.
