Tastes

Not at all like the 12 year. First impressions on the nose I thought it smelled like Shakletons. The palate is light fruits and a hint of salt and peat. Ok mouthfeel. A decent expression for $40ish.

Took me a while to locate a bottle of this without driving to the distillery. It coats the glass well. Has a plastic butterscotch/toffee nose. Light but definitive. The palate is bursting with typical wheater profile while staying sweet. Nice spicey finish that sticks around. Twice as good as Blanton's. Will definitely grab a second bottle.

Pretty decent. Not sure what the mashbill is on this but it hits like a wheater. A champagne bubblegum with light oak. A medium bitter finish.

This bottle really opens up at about half full. Quite the pleasure drinking dram. High quality blend here. Not found everywhere, but on the hunt for another bottle.

Berry blast of a dram. Lots of berry fruits in front and mid palate. An easy and nice sipper. Well worth the price.

Its a good bargain scotch. Has some campfire peat and some soft fruit taste. The bottle I tried is 43% abv not 40%.

Has some character notes and some decent flavors. Its actually better than Blanton's. Its young but not bad.

Nail polish and ink marker with some grape chewing gum on the nose. The appearance looks like an obvious dye job. There is some bitter caramel on the palate. Not worth revisiting with another purchase. Guzzled this one down over a week to get it off my shelf. Cheers!

Bitey like most EC. Sweet red twizzler, cinnamon. Medium finish of the same with tannins. A real tongue stunner.

Cherry on the nose. Salty, stingy, waxy on the palate. Some pepper spices finishing.
