Oilly texture on with a large spicy, herbal, slightly minty note with shades of vanilla, oak, and minimal caramel. This is a nice rye whisky if you are trying rye for the second or third time. I would not try this as an intro to Rye by any means. If you have more experience with high rye bourbon, this whiskey to me turns down the bourbon and cranks up the heat and the spice. Cheers!

BBQ brisket, smoke, more meat. Good Lord this is some amazing whisky!

Interesting nose and pallette slight touch of sherry influence close to a port. Dark ripe berry notes behind pepper and malt

Malt forward but rich and fruity with a slight peppery note. Very pleasant

Another beginner intro. Some complexity not overly difficult to break down. Could be a background whisky( won't interrupt conversation)

Its ok. Very simple, not complex, but great if you want to dip your toe into scotch from bourbon and dont want to blow your wad on a whisky not knowing if you'll like it.
