Better than most bourbons you'll try, especially for the price but too sweet for me.

Tried this at the High West restaurant. It is LIGHT. Unlike anything I've tried. Coming from their rye my brain was expecting something different so the first couple sips threw me off. Opened up as it went on. Not as much corn taste as you'd expect, which I liked, but I got hints of mint, honey suckle. A bit thin on the mouth feel for me personally. Worth the tester I tried. Don't think I'll shell out 100$ for it with so many other amazing offerings from high west.

Pleasantly surprised! A think a very nice balance between scotch and my fave; rye. Happy I took a chance.

Damn. This is a close second to Midwinter nights dram. For the money I would take this. Such complexity finishing in vermouth and syrah casks. Love when high West experiments. It cuts through the usual harsh finish of the double rye (which I didn't mind to begin with) and mellows it a bit on the finish. Good stuff. Damn near impossible to buy. Had a shot at a bar in salt lake.

Finally! Been searching for 2 years and the liquor stores in Salt Lake finally has some in stock. This is the most amazing bottle of whiskey I've ever tasted. I am biased to begin with because rendezvous was my favorite high west to start with so they finish rendezvous in french oak and port barrels. That makes the the finish to this unlike anything you've ever tasted. You get plum, figs and a gentle sweetness that comes through perfectly without overpowering. Honestly, its sad its only an annual release because I am now ruined. It's pricey at 80$ but totally worth it to me for what you get. Well done High West.

Well High West, our love affair has finally reached its zenith. I don't know what I just drank, but it shouldn't be bottled. Rye Guy...sad...

Not my favorite outing from high west but as usual, much better than most efforts. Sipping neat it has an interesting finish. Not the complexity I come to expect from Dave and team. This would be a perfect whiskey for cocktails.

Surprisingly spicey you'd think it was a rye. Usually once a whiskey hits 100 proof I add a little water. This I don't. I love it neat. Wish the finish was a little thicker. For the price, very impressed.
