My all time favorite scotch. it's drinking a bon fire on the beach during a rainstorm. The perfect marriage of smoke and underlying fruit. For the price it cannot be beat.

I love Ardbeg so god damn much. their 10 yr is my everyday drink. oogie is my special occasion and I had very high hopes for this one. It does everything perfectly, except aging in French oak casks. It creates a bitter aftertaste that overwhelms all the nuances of traditional Ardbeg. It's my only complaint but it takes a big hit. Comment and let me know if you feel the same.

Coming from Ardbeg I was expecting PEAT. If people think this is heavily peated, never try Ardbeg. I want more smoke! It is good though. A bit sweeter than expected, but if you want a peat bomb look elsewhere.

So far for the money, taste, and abv nothing comes close. I'm sure now that I got into it the price will hike again. That's my luck. So, I shall enjoy while reasonably affordable.

Whoa...this is amazing. This is just the perfect amount of peat followed up with pear sweetness and quite a bit of spice. This is my second Japanese whisky after Hibiki harmony. I am very impressed.

I almost didn't like this at first, especially after the 10 year, but I think like it more. Each tasting reminds me more of Lagavulin. Charred meat, brine and salt. less fruit than the 10. This has grown on me with every single tasting. God damn you Talisker. God....damn you.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about this and it's back in stock. Talisker is my favorite scotch, so I was excited that its blended within this bottle. It's good. It's not nearly as complex as claimed but it is pretty damn good. Very little bite and smoke. Fruitier than expected. I do like it. It sure is not worth 70$ though. 40$ max.

I have no idea what people are bitching about here. This is fantastic. My first Japanese whisky. Finally found a bottle locally and was weary because of the mixed reviews. Very happy I purchased. Amazing nose and the palate is spicy, rounded, fruity, floral. I love peat bombs so this is a nice change of pace. Like some have said about this, embrace the sublelty.

It's the love child of lagavulin and Laphroaig. Just the right amount of smoke and peat, but bottled at a higher abv.
