Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed September 18, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)Starts of with a strong honey and carmel note followed with a sweet floral flavor then comes in an almost peppery spice kick followed by a slight smokeyness. Overall smooth dram would definitely buy again. -
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed April 11, 2015 (edited October 1, 2015)Nose is floral with a hint of coffee and a bit of smokeyness. Tase has a nice build up to a spicey start with a nice peaty smokey finish. Very smooth blend with little to no burn. Over all a nice blended malt from johnnie walker. FYI for you US folks it is back in stock for 2015 only as a 10th anniversary blend so stock up while you can. Best johnnie for your buck. -
Dewar's 12 Year The Ancestor (Discontinued)
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed April 9, 2015 (edited June 21, 2015)Nose is sweet floral with a smokey hint. Taste starts out sweet fruity with nice build up to a smokey and heavy peper finish. Opened up great with a teaspoon of water did take some of the smokey and pepper flavor away but opened up a nice vilinlla after tase. Could smell the vilinlla more with the water. Overall good everyday cheaper side blend comparable to Johnnie walker black however with less burning after taste
