Tastes

Heavy and lacking smoothness and finesse. Needs water at the least but I’ve been burying it in cocktails. Wanted to like this but definitely did not. Could be a bad barrel.

Easy to drink and smooth a good “house”/“table whisky” and good for mixing in cocktails that call for bourbon. Not overly complex but sometimes that’s not what you’re looking for. Great at what it does — sort of like a Volvo of whisky. Not the most exciting but safe and gets the job done.

Friendly and drinkable. Not overly complex and not too much of a “bite”.
