A few years ago, they sold a variety called Original Clan. Same mix of pot still and malt. But, I've had both, and the older is somewhat better. So, I bought a couple of cases. This is my go to Irish - as good as my Redbreast at half the price!

Lagavulin 12 Year (2008 Special Release)

Back in the 80's, the 12 was the standard expression of Lagavulin, and it was great. I never considered the 16 a step up - a bit too old and dry. I welcomed this back with a smile.
