Definitely one of my favourite taliskers.

Fine whisky, just a little too watered down at 40%

Now this whisky is better than I expected it to be, I thought the peat would be overpowering but it's not at all - its quite subtle and adds some complexity to the drink. It's pretty smooth too which is surprising for the 51.4% alcohol. Overall a very solid whisky, will keep this one in my collection for sure

Now this really is a love or hate. This is a VERY spicy whisky and really does bite you pretty well, however the finish is surprisingly pleasant. I really like this one for the night you need a kick in the face instead of something very subtle.

Sweet, light, good for mixing

Good sherry tones, very light whisky - maybe a little too light. Tastes quite watered down and not really that rich to me - just not my taste. It's not bad for what it is, just not my kind of whisky.

I somehow had bad expectations for this one as I read a few reviews and they weren't too positive - but wow this is one good whisky! You smell a lot of tart with very heavy port notes from the cask - actually the best smelling whisky I have - and also taste it when you take a sip. A bit of citrus comes through and the aftertaste is pleasant, a bit of sweetness and malt with oak-ey notes. It is quite a spicy whisky, despite it's 7 years of aging it still tastes a little younger in terms of alcohol but the taste is very full and tastes like a regular 12 year old. Very excited about this one!

Smells similar to bourbon, quite sweet but does bite the tongue a little in a good way - aftertaste is somewhat long and pleasant. Overall a solid whiskey if you want to make the transition from bourbon to highland scotch

Smooth as silk, oak notes not as heavy as I expected but still in there - a nice long and sweet aftertaste
