Side-by-side w Jameson, definitely superior. Honey on nose; better mouthfeel vs Jameson. Enjoyable, especially for money. Black Bush is step up.

Side-by-side w Bushmills, fairs better than I suspected, still weaker cousin. Flat finish, not as rounded, too much cinnamon.

Sample/not sure this is a full 4 star, lacking a finish for me, especially at price point. Still if you like Sherry, this may be the one you should seek out.

Nose: the most appealing whiskey ever by smell? - a ton of chocolate and oak. Much spicier on tongue, oak remains w leather. Boozy, bold, and a must try.

Short finish runs a bit too hot, drowns out any potential subtlety. A small jump up in price and one will likely find preferred bourbons.

Basic blended, most important plus is the smoothness. Lacking depth.

Huge corn and char. Mouthfeel is kind of distinct. Old standby isn't great but one could do worse. Part II: still feel like there are many better options out there but I sure appreciate the distinctiveness of Jack.

Sample/the even-handedness here reminds me a lot of my favorite Irish offerings. And like those, this is a great value too.

Sample/maybe too sweet for me yet a lot to love: rich, light fruit, probably good for those getting into whiskey or bourbon.

My review is for the Tennessee Malt Whiskey, which appears to be different than this version but I don't see the listing on Distiller. Bold, rye-like. Plenty of spice - nutmeg and cinnamon. Also has an interesting off-note, reminds me somewhat of Tullamore. Not my personal taste though it might be exactly what some are seeking out.
