Standard, which isn't necessarily bad. Odd, off finish but rye flavor still present throughout.

I love Distiller! ...their review of GJ is spot on... bananas and all. The richness and char is great here, especially given the price point. Not too far ahead of regular JD but worth the extra money.

It did not hit me until my second glass of Double Rye, but no wonder I adore it. Nose is molasses followed by more molasses. This doesn't necessarily come through when drinking but all the elements are there - nutmeg, clove, cinnamon - like one of those windmill cookies. Did I mention I love molasses AND those windmill cookies? The most amazing part is how the alcohol has so little heat at the end, leaving only the spice elements. Still coats the mouth perfectly as it lingers on (and on). Amazingness for well under $40 a bottle. oh and there is some orange zest just in case you needed more.

Nose is very fruit centric, and that is the first component that hits your tongue. Followed with vanilla finish. Sweet but a lot to like here. x bottle

Very solid. Cinnamon and spice dominant, light dried fruit. Nose is sweeter that I would have guessed, caramel?

sample/a lot to like here though price point is high; oak takes front and center stage with easy burnt toast finish

sample/not a huge jump vs the Small Batch though much more rounded

sample/I personally prefer the Single Malt, by an edge; this just seemed flatter and the rum was not as pronounced as I'd hoped.

sample/single barrel version: well rounded and complex, there is great value here given the price

Comparison w Bushmills and Jameson. Right there w Bushmills, that honey spice may be better flavor here. Bushmills seems more full.
