sample / This competes w the best of Islay; all the traditional elements are there. But Ardbeg seems slightly more approachable...yet still hangs on the tongue like any great Scotch.

Fairly blunt, there is some vanilla and light spice there but finding the Scratched Cask version is easily the preferred choice.

Like Black Grouse this struggles to find a foothold on my palate. I just do not get much depth, even though the front of each taste begins well enough. Hint of smoky fruitiness there...but then kind of goes into oblivion.
