Glenmorangie Nectar d'Or Sauternes Cask Finish
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 20, 2021Dessert wine notes play with classic Glenmorangie accents. A lemon meringue pie. I expected a bit more. Too expensive for what it is. -
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 19, 2021 (edited January 2, 2022)Turkish delight and cotton candy. Non-chill filtered elevates this Glenmorangie experience. It’s a sweet whisky if you’re looking for one. -
GlenDronach Original 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed October 31, 2021 (edited November 4, 2021)Sherry, oak, dried fruits, creamy vanilla and warm spices. Great body. A fine dram. A Christmas fire. -
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed October 22, 2021 (edited February 8, 2022)Green apples on a strong malt heart. Some jellied fruits, mushrooms, a light touch of smoke. Where did the Talisker and Caol Ila go? Very similar to Ballantine’s to me - quite underwhelming and uninspiring. Gets a little better after some time in the bottle.
