1800 Añejo Tequila

The bottle and label, along with the dark caramel color are beautiful. I get some nice nice vanilla, spice and caramel with a slight vegetal note that almost comes across as plastic-like. I don’t mind vegetal characters but this being so up front in the nose and on the finish seems kind of strange for a matured Añejo.

Spicy, spearmint, smoked wood used to start a camp fire.

I found it quite muted, lacking complexity and depth on the palate. The nose was surprisingly pleasant and, the flavors developed better on ice.
