I’m glad I have this .. really am, but I would not buy another. It’s interesting. Color is very light like a white wine. On the nose, I really do not like. It’s a very funky smell that I can only equate to socks. Want to buy this yet? However, the taste is liquid tortilla chips and not bad. Beautiful bottle and glad I own for the novelty, but can recommend beyond the nice liquid tortilla taste. Mellow Corn is much better if you are looking for a corn whiskey.
Nose: vegetal, honey/agave, medicinal flowers, straw, butter
Mouth: reads boozy/spicy, corn, buttered popcorn
Finish: caramel apple, mezcal earthiness
Definitely not a typical whiskey, pretty unique. Drank neat, but may be great in a cocktail in place of tequila. Incorporates Mexican flavors and resembles an aged tequila; half way to as mezcal without the smokiness. Could benefit from longer maturation.

What I love about this whiskey is it has characteristics of moonshine and a reposado. The nose is very tequila reminiscent. It has that buttery popcorn start of a corn whiskey and a roasted marshmallow finish of a reposado. I do feel it would benefit greatly from a little longer in the cask, with some richer caramel and toffee tones.
Highly astringent, similar to Tequila with pepper and vegetal notes, thick on the tongue, warms the face like Everclear, requires a strong composition to properly enjoy this spirit.
