Aberlour 12 Year Double Cask Matured

Day 16 advent calendar. Tried neat… while lifting weights 😆. On the nose it’s fruity & peaty with notes of leather, caramel, sherry, cherry, banana, apples, macchiato cherries, spice, baked apple pie. It’s initially hot and spicy on the palate and high ETOH but peaty and cinnamon notes. Going to have to try again over an ice cube. Smells much better on nose than palate but a good one overall 👌

Taste the sherry. A little thin but still tasty. Not much burn. Get some apple flavor initially. Smell a little vanilla. Ok finish. Not a bad scotch but not a must have.

Sweet smell on the nose; very smooth taste.
