Reviewed December 27, 2024Sweet crisp green apple, light pineapple, and some mango. The high abv keeps the party moving and has a long finish. Nose is muted but really comes to life on the palate. A beautiful and fun sister whisky to the original! Whike i miss the sherry, the crisp and powerful green apple and ex bourbon character and beautiful! -

Reviewed April 19, 2024 (edited April 20, 2024)Nose - a very chocolatey nose. Sweet desserts like donuts and puddings. I smell kheer which is an Indian dessert! I also smell cardomom. I do get an abv hit! Doesn’t surpise me as its 60.1%. Taste - oily and really sweet! Tastes like honey and apple pie. It has a very strange warm feel in the mouth. Mild spicyness due to high abv. Medium long finish. It reminds me of a fresh of the over apple pie with vanilla ice cream. I also get grapes and candied apple! The bourbon barrel influence is very evident. Bourbon drinkers would love this whisky. Thoroughly enjoyed this dram. I personally prefer the regular abunadh but this is wonderful as well. -

Reviewed April 8, 2024As a bourbon drinker, the nose comes through with the oakey aroma but peals off with the usual peat. The palette explodes with notes of spice and sour apples. The finish sticks around quite some time but waiting for you to throw down another.
