Reviewed December 13, 2022In the world of amaro, I dont often think of CioCiaro, but it's very well made and reasonably priced. On the nose I get orange peel and tobacco. The palate is actually quite herbal and pretty sweet. The bitter component is lower than most amaro, with some nice cola notes. The finish has no burn and some liquorice. For the cost I think this is a solid value amaro. It's not incredibly complex, but it's well made and easy to drink. I'm surprised it's not called for more often in cocktails. I would probably go with a 3.25 neat, but for the value I will bump it up to a 3.5.25.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed November 27, 2022I didn't love this one at first sip, but it really grew on me. Distinct orange peel character overlaying a sweeter cola-esque base with a light minty quality in finish.Toronto -

Reviewed October 1, 2020Nose: very vegetal with bright orange and citrus. Cola and nuts. Licorice. Taste: sweet with wormwood and spicy cinnamon. Licorice flavor along some pepper leaving some tingling on the tongue. Well balanced and cheap but hard to find on most areas. Prefer it to Amaro Montenegro24.0 USD per Bottle -
