Released in honor of Joy Spence's 20th anniversary as master blender for Appleton Estate Rums. It is a 25 year-old rum which includes some 35 year-old rum in the blend.
The blend includes two rums of significance to Spence: rum from her first year with Appleton (1981) and rum from her favorite marque of pot-still rum. This rum bottling will begin to appear in markets in March 2017.

Aged RumRum that is aged, but no specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for length of aging, but will often carry an age statement (which should be taken with a grain of salt). Often thought of as "sipping rums".
Tasting Notes
"The huge nose bursts with rum raisin backed by tropical funk, with flambéed bananas, citrus zest, orange peel, and brown butter. Palate offers vanilla bean and tropical fruits, with rich molasses, dry oak, allspice, and cloves. Long, smooth finish offers some black pepper and oak, with an emphasis on more molasses with brown sugar. Luscious."
